Producer, Clark Hagan

It is very interesting how people come into your life at just the right time.  Within a week or so of conceiving The Lone Lee Show, I met Clark Hagan.  We hit it off right away.   Besides being a very funny and upbeat guy, Clark is a very talented record producer.  His work in Nashville with legendary guitarist Chet Atkins brought him a Grammy award.  He has worked with some of the biggest names in the business. There is a link to Clark’s bio on the “Links” section of the Lone Lee homepage.  Read it and you will be impressed!

Clark and I, of course, have a common interest in good music so the friendship developed quickly and smoothly because there is a lot of common ground there.  But more than that, I explained the concept of The Lone Lee Show to Clark and he instantly saw the “big picture” and the potential along with the fun and excitement of being involved in something like this.  Clark has a passion for good music as a listener, a player and a producer, therefore the idea of promoting “Real Music” really struck a chord in him.

Clark produced the first Lone Lee Show with guest Frank Marino on June 7th , 2008.  The show was wonderful and came off very smooth because of Clark’s insight and timing and his understanding of how musicians think, along with the technical ability to make the show sound great!  There is an unspoken communication between experienced musicians that allows them to instinctively know what is about to happen and what direction a performance should go in to make it a good one.  That is the beauty and excitement of improvisation.  Clark and I had that kind of unspoken connection during the first Lone Lee Show. When the show was over, we were excited and wanted to do more.  So it seemed that a partnership was developed on the spot.  I look forward to a long and successful partnership and friendship with Clark.  This is going to be good!
