Who Is Lone Lee?

Lone Lee (aka Gary Dean Smith) has quite a long and varied musical history. He has played and recorded with some musical legends over the last couple of decades and has a passion for real music. He understands the challenges and the triumphs involved in a career in music. There are fleeting moments of incredible highs. In most cases, there are years of work invested to develop the craft that allows for those moments of euphoria.

Along the way, this labor of love of making music creates the opportunity for developing wonderful friendships that last a lifetime. Lone Lee understands that connection among the family of musicians and decided to create a place for a “family reunion” if you will. A place to share the memories and to share future plans so that this wonderful and unique family can continue to thrive.

The artists that Lone Lee interviews are proven musicians who have created remarkable music and have contributed to the idea of “Real Music, Real Musicians.”  Therefore the reviews that are posted on TheLoneLeeShow.com are always very positive and intended to promote the music and musicians featured within the archived interviews.  Of course, people’s taste in music is subjective. In the context of The Lone Lee Show, Lee will determine the guests and music that will be featured in both the interviews and review postings.  With that said, Lee will not spend the time and energy to feature artists that he feels do not reach the bar of “Real Music, Real Musicians.”

But Lee is considering adding a page for reviews only on which he will listen to any music submitted and write an honest review, good or bad, but always fair.  If you have a CD you feel meets the standard set by the artists featured in the interviews, please send it.  A submission that meets that standard will probably result in a live interview for you. This is a great way to discover new talent and allow more good quality music to be made available to the public.  Go to “Contact Lone Lee” on the homepage for info to submit music.
